Pure oatmeal - fiber, minerals and mysterious avenathramides
Ground oat grains contain many valuable substances. First and foremost - a large portion of fiber. Oatmeal contains many beneficial fats and antioxidants, as well as vitamins and minerals. Of the vitamins, vitamins B and E are the most important, while of the minerals manganese, magnesium, copper and selenium deserve attention. An interesting component of oat flour is also avenathramides, whose name comes from the Latin name of oats - avena sativa. Avenathramides are exceptionally strong antioxidants, which are needed to keep the body in good health condition.
Whole wheat flour
It is first and foremost a source of a large amount of protein, dietary fiber and vitamins from groups B, K, D and E. It is also a treasure trove of elements necessary for the proper functioning of the body, including potassium, calcium, magnesium, iron and sulfur. These ingredients nourish the body, provide long-term satiety, regulate the work of the digestive and nervous systems, improve brain function and have a positive effect on concentration. The high content of potassium and magnesium has a positive effect on the functioning of the heart and circulation and protects against atherosclerosis and heart disease. Iron and calcium, in turn, protect against anemia and strengthen bones. Sulfur, like vitamin E, has a beneficial effect on the skin.
Whole grain cornmeal
The biggest advantage of cornmeal is its easy digestibility. Corn also provides selenium, which is rare in food, and is needed for proper thyroid function and high immunity. Cornmeal also contains zeaxanthin, which has antioxidant properties as well as a positive effect on the quality of vision. Combined with the vitamin A present, it protects the eyes against glaucoma, cataracts and macular degeneration. Cornmeal has a slightly sweet taste and is sure to appeal to horses and all followers of healthy eating.
Flaxseed oil
It is the only vegetable oil in which we find significant amounts of unsaturated omega-3 fatty acids, important from the standpoint of preventing and treating cardiovascular disease. In addition, we also find omega-6 fatty acids and small amounts of saturated fatty acids. Regular consumption of flaxseed oil strengthens the heart, gives energy, increases the body's immunity and helps achieve hormonal balance. The horse's well-being also improves, and the unsaturated fatty acids in flaxseed oil have a positive effect on the psyche. Consuming linseed is recommended to improve the condition of hooves, skin and coat.
